2014 Guru Purnimah Navaratri yagya festival: June 28 - July 6

From June 28 - 6 July marks Guru Purnimah Navaratri for 2014. Navaratri (nava = 9; ratri = night) or 9 nights of Mother Divine is a time for cleansing and purification and evolution throughout the whole of nature. This is a time when the tide of Sattva or coherence or wholeness of life rises to purge the lower, fragmented, imperfect values of natural law. In Vedic mythology it is depicted as the time when Shakti (the quintessential power of the universe), champion of the gods, is victorious over the demons (lower, fragmented forces of nature). It is a time for light to triumph over darkness.

Details

There are 4 Navaratris each year (9 nights of Mother Divine). Activation of Shakthi or Nature's organizing power is at the heart of these festivals or windows of opportunity.

Aside from the core reality, each Navaratri has its own theme. This coming Navaratri running June 28 - July 6 leads up to Guru Purnimah - The Full Moon of the Guru (Master/Spiritual Teacher) on July 12.
Guru Purnimah is the day when the Guru's influence is most lively and accessible.

So this June/July Navaratri, culminating in Guru Purnima, is one of the most auspicious windows to cultivate the influence of Guru in our life. This means everything good: enlightenment, true happiness, wisdom, knowlege, education, true love, devotion, loyalty, life partner, family & children, and life lived in accord with natural law:
dharma & destiny.

From the spiritual point of view, Guru connects us with the Divine or ultimate reality. In that respect he is the conduit through which life's bounties flow to us. Guru Purnimah Navaratri is one of the best times to perform yagya to cultivate and strengthen these qualities, as well as infusing our lives with shakthi or nature's organizing power.

By taking part in this Guru Purnimah Navaratri yagya festival you will infuse your life with shakthi or nature's organizing power along with cultivating and strengthening the qualities of the Guru.

This will generate a powerful momentum for progress and success on all levels: inner and outer - happiness, fulfillment, material affluence, harmonious relationships & success in career & activity. This wave of wholeness rolls through your life, your family, your community & the world nourishing all beings at every level of creation.
Jai Guru Dev

Harnessing nature's momentum through yagya

Navaratri is also known as 'Durga Puja': 9 day festival celebrating Durga: the Divine Mother -the wholeness or collectedness of God's feminine aspect. Yagyas are traditionally performed during the 9 days to harness the momentum of this highly auspicious window of opportunity. Navaratri or Durga puja yagyas serve to direct this lively flow of nature's organizing power into our daily life in order to safe guard and enhance our progress & evolution and also to achieve specific goals.

Hi Ganesha, How are you? I wonder where you are? I just wanted to say hello and let you know that post yagya, I am noticing a change. It feels like a shadow has been lifted from me, or a veil, something like that. I do find the Rudrabishek yagyas very strong while they are going on. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to partake in them.... love

The green light was given to J's new show (after saraswathi yagya) - discussions about giving it the go-ahead had earlier stalled with indications that it would not be commissioned. Production is now underway and all is going smoothly.

Thought you might like to know that J's new show (which we had the (saraswathi) yagya done for in July) has consistently been number one for the last couple of months. Everyone agrees it is punching about its weight. Very cool.
All the best

Hi Ganesh
It was probably the strongest influence I have ever felt in the performance of a yagya. Meaning, I felt immediately when it began every day... Meditations were profound with deep transcending.. a whole new level of experience.
A. South Australia

Dear Ganesh
Things are now much calmer. But it certainly has been a rocky few months.
We did sell the house ... now after all that has happened in the world - the stock market collapse etc - I feel that we were very fortunate, the financial context is much clearer now.
All is well.

On the cosmic scale - all is as you predicted. The emotional upheavals have been unrelenting but I felt very supported all along the way - an island of calmness in the midst of the storm.
So in brief, it's all on track - all is as it should be. So thanks again.
Your advice was wonderful and the yagyas worked.

K. NSW, Australia

"What a yagya. I think my whole physiology is changing... I think this must be the best yagya ever...The impacts keep on coming. I can feel the pundits coming and going. It is amazing...Can you book me a place for next year?"
PR - Melbourne, Australia

On the days of the yagyas, I devoted myself to saadhana (spiritual practice)- actually I tried to "do" saadhana but could "do" nothing except lie in the saadhana room in a semi-swoon, feeling like I was being "done". The energy was so powerful I was totally unable to function, so I surrendered to it. I suppose this is normal.
I hope you are well and everything is shining in your world.

Since October 2013, we have added a fourth temple to our program: Shree Lalita Devi Laksmi Temple in Allahabad. The city of Allahabad is one of the most holy cities in India. It is here that India's 3 most holy rivers, Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswathi, all converge. It is also the home of the Maha Samadhi or final resting place of His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Shree Lalita Devi Laksmi Temple is considered to be one of the 51 Shakti Peeths or primary seats of Mother Divine

Kalimath - Himalayas

We are delighted to include Kali Math once again in our Navaratri Program. Since the 2013 floods it has not been possible to reach here by road. The roads are open now.
Village of Kalimath surrounded by Kaliganga [Mandaakini] river

Kali Math is an ancient tantric place of learning & experience established by Adhi Shankara - perhaps India's most famous and most illustrious perfected yogi/mystic saint. He is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva and he originated the Shankaracharya Tradition (Guru Dev's lineage). He had such profound experience of Goddess Kali Ma at this place that he established it as Kali Math or Monastery (center of learning and experience). It is widely regarded as a Sidha Peeth and Maha Peeth - meaning a place where one can perfect experience of the sidhis (Sanyama & realization of Patanjali's yoga sutras). It is also held that Swami Ramakrisna did saadhana (spiritual practice) here. (Swami Ramakrisna was a famous mystic/saint of 19th century India). Because this remarkable place readily affords the lively & profound experience of Kali, yagyas performed here deliver profound benefits.

Kali is traditionally invoked first in the durga puja (Navaratri yagya); she is the substrate or primordial ground state in which all of creation finds its resting place. She most fully embodies the wholeness or totality of Divine Mother. She is known as Durga - another name for the wholeness of mother divine. She is associated with Parvathi or Uma: Lord Shiva's consort [wife] and mother of the universe. Kali is worshipped or invoked by those seeking enlightenment or liberation [moksha] as well as by those desiring prosperity and well being in the material world. When wholeness is complete the individual elements are stronger and more effective.

Kalimath, Himalayas. Oct 2005
Kali is often portrayed as wearing a garland of heads. It illustrates her role as bestower of liberation or enlightenment by destroying the ego. The head contains the sense organs and is thereby synonymous with limited self concept or ego. By severing the head with the sword of self knowledge Kali liberates the mind. The awareness expands and is freed from boundaries and self imposed limitations. Her darshan or mode of influence is experienced in the heart and the fullness of awareness. It is a direct experience. It touches us deep inside at the most fundamental level of awareness; it is experiential not conceptual. She is also depicted as standing on or over her consort the sleeping Shiva [the absolute]. She represents the ground state or absolute made lively. In contrast with the sleeping Shiva, Kali arrests the mind. She is proactive and forcibly takes the mind to the absolute. We feel her at the core at of our being.
