A time for Cleansing Realignment Growth

Navaratri or 9 nights of Divine Mother is a time of purification and evolution throughout the whole of nature. During this window, the wholeness of life rises to purge the lower, fragmented, imperfect values of natural law. In Purana, it is depicted as the time when Shakti (quintessential universal power), champion of the gods, is victorious over demons (lower, fragmented forces of nature). It is a time for light to triumph over darkness. The river floods and stagnant pools are washed away. It's an opportunity to purify, revitalize and realign our lives: to get back on track - to realize our goals and aspirations. It's a time to slay our demons. Testimonial

Navaratri is known as 'Durga Puja': 9 nights invoking or celebrating Durga: Divine Mother -the wholeness or collectedness of God's feminine aspects. Yagyas are traditionally performed during this time to harness the momentum of this highly auspicious window of opportunity. Navaratri or Durga puja yagyas serve to direct the lively flow of nature's intelligence and organizing power into our daily lives to safeguard and enhance our progress and evolution and to achieve specific goals. Performing Navaratri Yagyas at Celebrated Temples

Kalimath 2005 October Maha Navaratri

In 2007 we tried a new approach to Navaratri yagyas. We transported Pandits from Delhi to Haridwar to perform the 9 day Navaratri yagya inside a celebrated Durga temple. Mansa Devi is famed throughout Northern India due to the extraordinary liveliness of Durga's divine presence. Mahishasura Mardini (Slayer of Asura/Demon Mahisha ), she is known as fulfiller of desires or granter of wishes. The reputation is built on the experiences of generations of pilgrims who find their sincere desires fulfilled and prayers answered after visiting the temple: like seeds planted in fertile soil.

As a result of the highly charged atmosphere, the Navaratri yagya performed here was extraordinary. The clients who took part in this yagya reported outstanding benefits. Experiences from the pilot program inspired us to grow. So in February 2008 along with 9 Pandits performing at Mansa Devi in Haridwar [see above], we also took 9 Pandits to Saraada Maihar - celebrated Saraswathi Temple in Madhya Pradesh.

We ran this combined Laksmi/Saraswathi program over two 9 day Navaratri periods in 2008 - first in February and again in July. Clients from more than 5 countries participated in the July program which grew to 13 Pandits performing in each temple (total 26 Pandits in 2 temples). Once again participants reported outstanding results. Since then we've been running Navaratri Programs at 4 Temples with more than 50 Pandits 4 times a year. To date, we've run more than 60 Navaratri Programs (see below).

Optimal benefits from specialty yagyas performed at celebrated temples

Kaamakhya 2022 April Vasant Navaratri

We've been traveling to India regularly the past 24 years - more than 100 times. Over the years, working with pandit groups associated with different temples, we've found that some temples (dedicated to a particular God or Devata) specialize in certain yagyas. While they may perform many yagyas, some work better than others. This is due to the God or Devata of the temple and its relevance for particular yagyas. Over the years we've explored and cultivated working relationships with a number of temples specializing in particular yagyas. It has been our experience and more important our clients' experience - this approach works well.

Rationale

Lalita Devi 2014

India is "Dev Bhumi": land of the Gods. It has many places where the Devata value is lively and accessible. Devata or deeper, Universal reality (God or presiding impulse of natural law) is lively and accessible in and around certain special locations. From one perspective, we can say Devata, land and families living on the land are not seperate. Although they appear as seperate entities, they are, in fact, part and parcel of the same reality. It can also be said the reality of the Devata (universal, eternal Law of Nature) has permeated these places since time out of memory. Accordingly, temples are constucted to serve as a focal point. The deeper universal reality (Devata) is not separate from the land, the temple or indeed the families who have lived there for generations. And the pandits born of these families perform the yagyas.

While pandits are integral to the Yagyas - because they recite the mantras and perform the ceremonies - they are not separate from Devata. So the land, temples, and pandits born of the families - are a manifestation of Devata: the eternal universal reality - the greater wholeness. Therefore it's fair to say the influence of Devata (grace, blessing) operates through the temple and the pandits who service the temple. In this way, speciality yagyas performed at celebrated Temples deliver the Grace of Devata optimal benefits

Yagya relieves the suffering due to malefic planets.

Our joys and sorrows in this life are the fruits of actions (karmas) done in previous births. The fruits of our past actions are mediated or delivered to us by the planets Their arrangement in the heavens at the time of birth is a karmic map of our life. Vedic astrology interprets this ‘star map’ (horoscope) enabling predictions to be derived from it. Planets activate during the period of life allotted to them. A malefic or afflicted planet in the horoscope will bring problems during the period ruled or influenced by it. Yagya relieves the suffering.

Skanda Purana Volume 85 Chapter 1 Verse 1
In Kedarkhand on the left side of Mandakini river, the ancient Siddha Peeth Kalimath temple is situated on the sacred banks of Saraswathi river. Here are ancient temples of Shri Maha Kali, Maha Laksmi, Maha Saraswathi Gaurishankar, Siddheshwar Mahadev and Shri Bhairavanathji.

In this place, the Gods worshipped the Goddess. Pleased with their worship, She granted them a boon. At the time, the influence of Demon lord Rakta Beej was prevalent in all the 3 worlds. The Goddess killed Rakta Beej at this very place and went to rest in the sanctum sanctorium of Mahakali temple.

Since then Shri Maha Kali yantra is worshipped here. In the temple of Shri Maha Laksmi, there is unbroken Dhuni lit for 3 ages in which Homa is performed daily. At this place the great poet Kalidasji, Dhishva, the blessed son of Mother Saraswathi, attained enlightenment. His birthplace (Siddhapeeth) is Kaviltha village, 5 KM from Kalimath.
